The many facets of the collection, first presented at the Exquisite Gucci show, are then revealed in a new lookbook ahead of launch.

Designed by creative director Alessandro Michele, adidas x Gucci fuses the House’s emblems with those of the iconic sportswear brand. The collection expands on the streetwear sartorial designs that made their catwalk debut with an array of sports-inspired pieces, distinguished by the same kaleidoscopic aesthetic from the runway.

To present the selection, Alessandro Michele imagined a series of images inspired by archival catalogs as a group of figures strike dynamic poses against brightly colored backgrounds alongside sporting accessories, captured by the photographer Carlijn Jacobs.

With the heritage of both brands encoded in a trio of lines, a fixation on stripes is played out through ready-to-wear pieces that echo the silhouettes of athletic basics and leisurewear. The track pants feature adidas’ white three stripes down one leg, while the other is defined by Gucci’s red and green web. Energetic prints show how motifs such as the adidas trefoil and GG monogram find synergy to amplify two legacies. Conventional formal pieces like leather heels, suede loafers and silk scarves are also entering hybrid territory, as they are marked by laid-back codes. SLikewise, the retro aesthetic becomes inherently contemporary as it proclaims that there are no rules when it comes to dressing.

Reflecting a shared commitment to innovation, progress, sustainability goals and collective action, the collection features several pieces made with forward-thinking materials including polyester, cotton and viscose.

The first adidas x Gucci lookbook anticipates the launch of the collection on June 7e in a selection of Gucci boutiques, in dedicated Pop-Ups and online at as well as on adidas CONFIRMED app, as well as the output of a separate and dedicated campaign.

In the adidas x Gucci collection, the trefoil and the three adidas stripes, both synonymous with streetwear, mix and match with Interlocking G, Horsebit, Web and GG monogrammed canvas, through ready-to-wear and accessories.

Ready-to-wear offers reminiscent of retro sportswear silhouettes in a variety of future-oriented material fabrications through polyester, cotton and viscose. From shirts to pants, many pieces play a game of contrasts between adidas’ Three Stripes white and red and Gucci’s green web, with the adidas signature on one side and the House’s well-known emblem on the other. The tracksuit, the flagship theme of the collection, is revisited in many ways with shorts and jogging pants for women, or flared pants and a bowling shirt for men, all designed to be mixed or matched. Tennis-inspired polo shirts, sweater vests, skirts and a knit dress bring a more sophisticated touch to the selection, while colorful and energetic prints with the adidas trefoil and interlocking G are found in a wide range of styles. Graphic cotton t-shirts feature the adidas trefoil underlined with ‘Gucci’ lettering.

The Maison’s bag heritage also enters hybrid territory through the collection. From the House’s Beloved lines, the Gucci Horsebit 1955 shoulder bag and tote defined by equestrian-inspired hardware is reimagined with the adidas Trefoil. The baggage category includes small and large sports bags, plus camera bags adorned with the adidas trefoil and “Gucci” spelled backwards. The bag range comes in red, yellow and black leather, as well as the House’s GG Supreme canvas and colorful retro prints from the ready-to-wear selection.

The selection of shoes presents Gucci’s own version of the famous adidas Gazelle trainers for men and women. A new interpretation of the Maison’s signature horsebit loafers, in leather or suede, is presented with the red and green Web stripe highlighted by the three adidas stripes. The leather and GG canvas clogs are also branded with the adidas trefoil and ‘Gucci’ lettering, while the terrycloth mules feature the adidas Originals emblem with the House monogram. The selection of women’s shoes expands the offering with a selection of platform styles.

Squares and silk ribbons, as well as a variety of headbands, recall sports inspirations through various patterns. A variety of hats also show off the logo play, including a GG canvas bucket hat and a baseball cap in part with ECONYL® regenerated nylon.

Additionally, the collection sees the introduction of two different items, including a selection of leather or GG monogrammed golf bags with the adidas x Gucci logo, as well as colorful umbrellas showcasing the collection’s signature palette and designs. .
