adidas x Karlie Kloss is back in the Spring/Summer 22 season with a collection designed to elevate everyday activity

Today, adidas announces that it has teamed up with longtime partner Karlie Kloss to co-create a new collection, available from May 17th. It is the first of two drops that make up the collection. Inspired by Karlie Kloss’ passion for encouraging the next generation of girls and women to lead active lives, the pieces are designed to be versatile and stylish, crossing design, fashion, sport and technology. For the first time, garments in the collection include a QR code that allows the wearer to explore the inspiration behind them.

Born from Karlie’s love of equal parts fashion and sport, the collection features 17 apparel items, 3 footwear offerings and 2 accessories with tech-infused graphic prints.

Pieces in the collection range from functional workout basics to modern lifestyle pieces designed for comfort and function, without compromising on style. Highlights include the oversized cream ‘KK’ sweater paired with cropped black flared pants for a stylish everyday look. Head-to-toe high-performance pieces feature tech-infused graphic prints, along with a range of athletic shorts in springtime hues of yellow and a varsity-style pink bomber jacket.

Each piece has been designed to intersect performance and style, making them perfect for transitioning from everyday to studio workout and back again.

Created for optimal performance and comfort, the collection incorporates adidas’ AEROREADY fabric technology to keep athletes and creators feeling dry while they move. In addition to merging style and performance, the looks of the heroes of the collection use NO DYE technology. NO DYE technology works with a material’s natural color to eliminate the water-thirsty part of the process – the pre-treatment phase of conventional dyeing techniques. Natural color fabric requires a post-processing step to achieve the same performance qualities while achieving an average 60% water and energy savings. The adidas x Karlie Kloss collaboration is another step towards adidas’ mission to help end plastic waste. Pieces in the collection are made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic – reinvented plastic waste, intercepted from remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our ocean.
