The Elden Ring Volcano Manor questline isn’t particularly long, but it’s easy to miss and requires access to some of the newer areas of the Lands Between. The last step of the Elden Ring Quest also pits you against a pretty tough boss, but the rewards for completing it include new weapons and armor sets.
Getting to Volcano Manor isn’t straightforward, however, you might be confused trying to figure out exactly how to get started. There are several ways to do this, and I’ll go over those options in this guide. Here’s how to get to Elden Ring Volcano Mansion and how to complete the questline when you do.
How to get to Volcano Manor in Elden Ring
The easiest way to get to Volcano Manor, especially if you’re still a ways away from unlocking the Mount Gelmir area, is to get an invite from Rya. You can find this NPC in Liurnia of the Lakes, at the Stone Structure, northwest of the Laskyar Ruins Grace Site, or directly east of the Scenic Island.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Talk to Rya and she will ask you to retrieve a necklace.
- Head northwest to find the Grace Boilprawn Shack site.
- Talk to the NPC sitting outside and he will mention the necklace.
- Buy the necklace with runes or kill it to loot it.
- Go back to Rya and put the necklace back on and she will give you the Volcano Manor invite.
Once done, you will find Rya on the Altus plateau. If you’ve never been there before and you use the Medallion Dectus to reach her, she will be at the top of the elevator. If you’ve ventured into the area before talking to Rya for the first time, or if you’ve bypassed the elevator, she can be found at the Ruins of Lux on the Altus plateau. Wherever you find her, talk to her, take her hand and she will teleport you to Volcano Manor.
Another option is to go through the enemy Abductor Virgin of Academy Raya Lucaria. You have to let him kill you with a certain attack. This will teleport you to the bottom of Volcano Manor, although you must defeat the Abductor Virgins boss here to proceed.

If you were teleported to Volcano Manor by Rya, talk to the NPC sitting in a chair directly in front of you. Here is Tanith and she will ask you to join Volcano Manor. Accept the offer and she will give you the salon key. Then, turn around and head down the hall on your immediate left and use the key on one of the last two doors on the left to access the living room.
You will find a letter on the table asking you to kill Old Knight Istvan, an NPC in Limgrave. Fortunately, his summon sign is now marked on your map, so head to Warmaster’s Shack Site of Grace and head north.
Defeating Istvan rewards you with the scaled armor set. Return to Volcano Manor and talk to Tanith again and she will hand you the Magma Shot sorcery. You can now return to the living room to collect the next letter.
You now need to head to Altus Plateau and defeat Rileigh the Idle, just at the western end of the area. The fastest way to reach her summoning sign is via Grace’s site of Old Altus Tunnel. Once you exit the elevator tunnel, head northeast. You get the Crepus’ Vial talisman for defeating him, and Tanith will give you the Serpentbone Blade when you return to the mansion.
The final letter is now in the living room and asks you to kill Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood, an NPC that is part of the requirements to get Diallos move from the mansion to Jarburg.
Juno Hoslow’s summoning sign can be found in the Giant’s Peaks region, southwest of Castle Sol. Defeating him gives you Hoslow’s Oath gesture, his armor set, and his weapon. Tanith will reward you with the Taker’s Cameo talisman to complete this step.
It’s important to note that you must complete all NPC quests before moving on to this next part as they will disappear from the mansion once the boss is defeated.
You can now talk to Tanith to have her teleport you to the area just outside the gate of the boss Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. Once you defeat this boss, you are rewarded with the Great Rune of Rykard and the Blasphemer’s Memory, which grants you the Blasphemous Blade with a hold on Enia in Roundtable Hold.
